Adams has not done a good job of managing the progression of youngsters, he's had some bad luck but he's also made some mistakes. We should be in a much better place right now and its frustrating to see players like Azhar - like you say looking for their last pay day - coming in (probably) at the expense of a player like Jewell.

Nothing wrong with ranting!GreenJJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03658909094741780394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-83358194924503872.post-80528717291268224662013-05-29T12:03:20.361+01:002013-05-29T12:03:20.361+01:00Feels like more and more desperate sticking plaste...Feels like more and more desperate sticking plasters being applied. We seem to have a pretty successful set up for producing young talent at Surrey. Please Surrey concentrate on bringing that through - thats the team I want to see - not assorted players from all over the place getting the last decent pay cheque of their careers.
There is no future in this approach - this is not where we should be as a county after however many years it is of project Adams.
There I was trying not to rant this season ....Tonfeddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14420398270091608636noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-83358194924503872.post-39796564709523069052013-05-28T22:10:45.168+01:002013-05-28T22:10:45.168+01:00Hi Dave

Roy would be very useful down the order, but I think he still has a point to prove up top, and he can so a good job there. Jewell should be in for ZdB, but that seems unlikely! I'd like to see Wilson open the batting with Davies, and Roy come in after Solanki. I'd also like to see Jewell in for ZDB, but that's a whole other question.Dave_Hnoreply@blogger.com
